New in Diggernaut: load and save binary files, page requests purchase, and free academic accounts

The February update of the Diggernaut service included: loading and saving binary files, the ability for users to purchase requests as a package without a subscription, as well as free extended accounts for students and educational institutions.

Now you have the opportunity to download binary files from sites and save them to a local drive (only in the compiled version of the digger) or transfer to the Amazon S3 storage. Binary files can be documents, archives, executable files, etc. When transferring files to S3, the included monthly bandwidth is consumed. The amount of bandwidth included depends on the subscription plan. For example, on the free plan it is 10Mb. More information can be found in our documentation: How to work with binary files.

Out of free or subscription page requests? Now you can purchase additional requests at any time. And these requests are not reset every billing period. For example, if you bought 40,000 requests, but this month spent only 10,000, then 30,000 will remain in your account until you spend them, without time limits. Page request price depends on the subscription. For example, if you are on a “Small” subscription plan for $ 29.99, then for $30 you can buy 200,000 requests, and if on a free plan, then for the same amount you can buy 120,000 requests. If you are a student, graduate student or scientist, and you need data for your research, but a free plan is not enough for you. You can request a special subscription plan Science from us. By its capabilities, it is similar to any paid plan, but for you, it will be free. You can also request additional resources for a specific science project. Resources are also provided by us for free. To get a Science account, you need to contact us, confirm your academic status and sign an additional agreement.
